We said goodbye to Kauai and hello to Oahu. The Thomas clan of eight boarded our early morning island transfer flight to Oahu. Might I add this was the best flight ever, only 30 minutes! Once we arrived, Jay and I gave a farewell to the rest of the family, while we got our rental car and headed to our hotel. We decided to extend our Hawaiian vacation for some alone time and to get LOST in Oahu, and I was determined to somehow spend my 30th birthday in Hawaii! Oahu was where we had celebrated our honeymoon years ago and wanted to explore North Shore of the island (we didn't have a rental car on our honeymoon). It was a culture shock after being on the quiet island of Kauai coming to Oahu with it's freeways, tall buildings, and people, etc.
We checked into our hotel, but we couldn't have our room yet, so...
we went and grabbed breakfast.
There's nothing like having a cheeseburger in paradise; yep don't tell mom, we had a cheeseburger for breakfast!Then we walked around town and enjoyed finding some of the places we visited when we came for our honeymoon.
