Day 6: Hanalei Bay Wedding

Having some technical difficulties with the videos in this post. I was unable to place the videos within the text of this post, so instead, I have posted each video separately below. The videos are a bit dark, but still enjoyable.

Day 6: Wedding Day!
Late morning we left to spend the day in North Shore for Julie & Matt's wedding day. We were all SO excited and couldn't wait to be apart of the day's festivities. After settling in, we headed to the famous local burger joint for lunch with Julie before she had to leave to handle the necessary preparations. Bubba's Burgers is the Hawaiian equivalent to mainland's In N Out Burger. The only exception, is at Bubba's Burgers, they don't serve lettuce and tomato due to the expense of shipping it from the mainland and lack of control for the quality. Other then that, they were delicious and a good contender to our local treat.

After lunch we headed further North to tour a few spots before getting ready for the wedding. We visited Ke'e Beach and also saw both the wet cave and dry cave. We then headed back to "freshin up" for the wedding.

Julie & Matt married on the beach at Hanalei Bay. The wedding was beautiful and intimate. The made their wedding their own by incorporating both mainland traditions, Hawaiian traditions, and a few of their own.

The reception was down the road at Hanalei Beach Park Pavilion. We were treated to a spectacular sunset, special performances, and delicious local Hawaiian foods.

Matt and Julie made an attempt to hula, but the girls really showed them how it's done. Later that evening, Julie surprised Matt (and all of us) by performing a hula dance she had learned and been working to perfect. This special hula made for an intimate moment.
