It's no surprise that Kate's rise to fame started early. At the November 2012 moms group meeting we were blessed to have singer Mary Rice Hopkins and puppeteer Darcie Maze come give their testimony and perform for us. Other young ones where too scared to go up on stage. When they called out for another volunteer a few of us yelled "Kate." Kate warmed up quickly. She enjoyed the singing and even was brave enough to touch the puppet let alone be up in front of a large audience. Those who knew Kate were all just as proud and she quickly became the topic of conversation at my parent's church and adjoining preschool. The pictures aren't that great, but the experience was well worth the mention.
