Girls Road Trip and The Climb

In early October 2013 Kate, Yia-yia, and I all headed up to Northern California to visit Aunt Peggy and Uncle David. Kate did well for her first road trip; she practically ate the whole way up. I have many many fond memories of traveling to Northern California to visit Aunt Peggy. It is my hope that we'll be able to create similar ones for Kate. We had a wonderful time and hope to make this a girls tradition!

One day we took a drive to Mill Valley. Since the night before was windy, that day had beautiful clear blue skies with fantastic views that almost never happen.

On our drive there, Peggy pointed out the Old Bay Bridge (left) and the New Bay Bridge (right) which we got to drive. The architecture of  New Bay Bridge allows for a better view.

We saw many of these guys on our trip and these "turkeys" were often our morning wake up call.

Every morning Kate and Aunt Peggy would go feed the horses and dogs.

Had to visit our friend Brian Keith's sculptures

While the girls had great adventures, daddy had an equally thrilling time.
Bryan and Christina took Jay and his brother Jim out for a day of climbing.

Look at that smile. Someone's happy they made it to the top and didn't fall!
