becoming locals- day 2 & 3

Day 2-
Was spent exploring our new home in Poipu. Jay and I walked to Brennecke's Beach where we explored the tide pools and finally dug our feet in the sands of Kauai. Then as a family we drove around town, stopped to have a delicious Puka Dog in a local shopping village, got our snorkel gear, visited the well known Spouting Horn, and topped the day off with dessert at Lappert's Ice Cream in the town of Koloa. We also spent some time in our pool and crying over the loss of our Nerf football. However, we couldn't end the day any better then with a spectacular sunset, games, and POG.

We continued our adventures and exploration of Poipu after starting our day by watching the turtles from our lanai, a daily treat. Well equipped with sunblock, snorkel gear, and food, we set out for Longhouse Beach where we saw MANY sea creatures.

Later that afternoon Jay and I took a long drive south going through the towns of Hanapepe and Waimea. It was on this drive that we began to see the true beauty of the island with it's lush green and red landscapes against blue skies and blue ocean. I believe it was on this drive where we fell in love with Kauai.
